Better

Well the weekend turned out better than expected. My friend still has her situation to deal with, but she is letting God be in control of the situation. Sometimes that's a lot easier said than done. We just need to have Faith that He IS in control, and allow Him to take care of the situation. We need to place Him on the throne of our lives and take ourselves down off of that throne. It's a hard one, and I'm not the best example of doing that, so she and I can both use any and all prayers toward keeping our eyes on Jesus. Thanks.

Now on the USC Football, and Dodger Baseball. Yes! USC beat the Oregon Ducks this weekend. It started out ugly, but the Trojans finally got their act together and looked like the team they can be. They even moved up one spot in the polls to #8. Fight On!

The Dodgers beat the Chicago Cubs 3-1 to move on to the National League Finals. Yes! The "worst" team in the National League playoffs as far as records go, beat the "best" team in the playoffs (As far as records go) Hopefully this will give the Dodgers some confidence and momentum, and they will win the next series. They now have to take on the Philadelphia Phillies. Go Dodger Blue!

Hockey season starts this week too. My team is perpetually in a rebuilding year, so we'll see how they do. I don't expect much, but I'm not a "fair weather" fan. Go LA Kings! I don't change teams just because they are doing better than another one. (Anaheim Ducks, and Angel's fans, Not all, but there are some that blow with the wind, and you know who you are. If you've been an Angel's fan or a Duck's fan, and stuck with your team through it all, this is not you.) Don't get me wrong. I root for the Angel's too, but the Dodgers are my team. I'm really not an American League fan. Not a fan of the DH in the MLB. I like the fact the a manager has to think in the National League. "Do I keep the pitcher that is doing great in, or do I pull him for a pinch hitter" That kind of thinking. It's strategy, and I don't think an American League manager has to think as much as a National League manager. One sport I really don't like is Basketball, sorry guys, just not my thing. Oh well enough of what I think, it doesn't matter anyway.

Have a great week, Klang

Glad that things are going better sportswise. Sorry for the old baggage that creeps up and causes us to hurt. Even Klingons feel pain. I hate it when mine hurts. Would love to kiss and make it better, but know that isn't always the solution. Some things just have to be worked out at the foot of the cross. Know that I'm praying for my Klingon. We can help hold each other up. Prayers and blessings!
