The Weekend

Well it was one of those weekends. Actually it wasn't bad, just busy. It started with my youngest daughter and her term paper that is due Monday. She had most of it ready, but had to write it. On top of that our printer is acting up. Then my wife had to check the term paper over. She just loves doing that, yeah right. But it is done now. Yeah!

Sunday, we missed church. The wife and oldest had been away at a conference Thursday and Friday, they were trying to recover. On top of that, it was a day to do college applications. That took most of the day, but it's done, and that was the last of them that she is going to submit. Yeah! She's already gotten one reply back from one school. She was accepted there, conditionally. She has to send transcripts and SAT scores yet, but my girl was accepted to a university. I'm so proud of her! I never really had any doubt that she would be, but to see the first acceptance letter is exciting for me. I only went to 1 year of community college, and never did any of this application stuff before. To my wife it's no big deal, because she graduated from a university. My education was in the U. S. Navy.

Anyway, USC won again. They looked terrible in the first half, but the second half they dominated. They were tied 17-17 at half time. The score was 45-23 at the end. The last 6 points for Stanford were on the last play of the game. (Again) Oh well. USC didn't drop in the BCS poll, but they didn't move up either. They need some help from some other teams. We'll just have to wait and see how it goes.

The Kings have been playing fairly well. Although they lost to the Ducks on Saturday.

Not much else to write about, you have a Blessed week.

Congrats Girls!

My youngest daughters volleyball team won the whole shootin' match last night. Congrats to them. They won the match in 3 games. It was very exciting. Then one of the parents, he owns a limo service, took the girls to a restaurant, in a limo. Some of the parents followed him, and we all had dinner.

Anyway, now the youngest can take a break and put more effort into her school work. Yeah!

Have a great day.

Done and over

Well the election is done and over. (Out here in California, some people can't except the outcome of certain things) I'm glad it's over. Not everything went the way I would have liked, but I will live with it because that's how we do things here in the US of A. We have the right to elect new leaders. And the transition of power happens peacefully. Thank you Lord for that. Please Lord be with our new President and guide his path.

Ok I guess now we can get back to important things, LOL.

USC won again this last Saturday. They only allowed Cal, 3 points. They have the best defense in college football. I hope they can keep it up. I just wish that Joe McKnight would learn how to hold onto the ball. I really think the Trojans could have scored another touchdown in that game had he not let the ball get stripped from him after his amazing run, but it seems every time he has a great run, he coughs up the ball. If I were on the coaching staff, I would just rotate Gable and Johnson the rest of the season. McKnight has got to learn some ball security. I know the coaches are working on it with him, I just wish he would take it to heart. Next up Stanford. We go to their house. We need to take it to them, and not let it be close. They are turning into a good team. One to look out for in the next few years. SC needs to remember what happened last year, and not let down. They need to keep it up the rest of the year. The D is doing great, but the O needs to get it going. Anyway Fight On!

The L.A. Kings have won a couple in a row. Good job. Keep it up.

The Dodgers made an offer to Manny. We'll see how that goes.

I guess that's about it for now. Have a great day.

I'm so ready

I'm so ready for this election to be over. Don't get me wrong. I'm praying that God will give his blessing to this country and that the right person will be elected. But the spiritual battle that has been waging all throughout the last few months has been enormous. I pray that God hasn't taken his blessing away from this country as I fear He has, because we sure don't deserve His blessing. We have turn our backs on Him. Case in point, the whole battle in California over prop 8. We shouldn't even have to fight this battle. Marriage is between one woman and one man period! No doubt, end of story. The backers of no on 8 have been running a smear and hate campaign all along. This "free" country of ours has been turned upside down by a few radicals. They have been using intimidation tactics, vandalism and the like. They tear down yes on 8 signs from yards and they even egged my pastors yard. They claim that we're discriminating, but can't see the discrimination in their own acts. This is a moral battle. A battle between the light and the dark. The no on 8 people all do their deeds at night. That should tell you which side is the dark. Join the Light and vote YES on 8.

Obama is a socialist. Pure and simple, but the people of this country are to blind to see. He'll give to the poor. I'm sorry, but get out and get a job. I know that jobs are scarce, but go work at Mc Donalds, or go dig ditches, do something with your life. Don't expect the government to give you something without having to work for it. Unfortunately that's what this country has come to. The Liberals giving handouts is tearing this great country of ours apart, and the people are to blind to see it.

Well it's election day, it will soon be over. I pray that God has not taken His blessing away from our country, but He has every right to do so. We've turned our back on Him as a country. I just pray that there are enough Christians out there praying that He takes mercy on us and blesses us once again.

Oh yeah USC won big this weekend. Another shutout. They dropped in the BCS polls though. Oh well. Fight On!
